Hi! I’m Robyn.

I'm a Los Angeles-based experience designer, facilitator and founder of Homebody Gatherings.

Human behavior and relationships, particularly how we connect and why, have always held my attention. I've spent the last nine years as a qualitative researcher in consumer insights, building a skillset that allows me to reach deep levels of conversation with strangers, in short windows of time. Whether discussing desired running shoe features, the anxieties of retirement planning, or the challenges of online dating in a small town, my job is to dig beneath the surface to understand the motivations, beliefs and values that connect us all as humans. I've had the opportunity to talk with people from all walks of life, and the lesson I come away with is always the same: we are far more similar than we are different.

Outside of my research practice, some of my most impactful experiences have happened around a full table, over a meal in someone's home. I believe food has a way of reminding us of our shared humanity and the feeling of home gives us permission to let down our guard enough to connect from a place of vulnerability. That’s why I started Homebody, a gathering series that explores and challenges how we view interpersonal value.

At the heart of my work is the belief that honest connection is possible between anyone, and that creating the conditions for it is necessary now more than ever.
